Kayley Ferran is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of experience practicing medicine. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from New York University College of Nursing and her Master’s of Science Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from CUNY Hunter College. She has practiced at some of the best centers for medicine in New York City. Her career was highly influenced by her time at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell where she spent 5 years working in Cardiac Critical Care, mostly in the Cardiac ICU caring for critically ill patients. As a Nurse Practitioner, Kayley was a member of the Advanced Heart Failure team a Mount Sinai, caring for complex cardiac patients in need of transplant or advanced therapies. She then joined the Abdominal Transplant team at North Shore University Hospital caring for pre and post Kidney and Liver Transplant Patients. Through her experience, she realized that there is an emphasis on “sick care” instead of preventative medicine. She is excited to join the team at New York Fire Fighter Heart and Lung Institute because they focus on preventative care, screening their patients to help keep them healthy. This position is especially exciting because her father is an active member of the FDNY, serving the city as a Deputy Chief in Queens, NY.
